• Some explanation
  Mobility from version 2.0 uses web-services over https and comes equipped with a certificate issued by our test CA for localhost domain. Because of that, you can only test communication with your own server (there are sample entries in the UDDI pointing to https://localhost:8443). It's recommended that you test your own server before trying communication with other parties. If you wish to test other servers please write to michalk@mimuw.edu.pl for instructions concerning certificate generation and signing. To access your own web client or web server site (logs of incoming messages) you can use the http protocol or the https protocol (ports are specified during configuration). If you would like to use the https protocol you have to import the localhost.p12 certificate to your browser as the server authenticates the client certificate (the browser in this case). Password is 'password'.

Mobility project - stage 2 - exchange of Organization Business Cards

1. Information sheets gathered by IRO from the University of Warsaw
2. Information sheets in XML format (Business Cards gathered at the Mobility server)
3. Schedule for June

   I would suggest that in July we do something very simple but useful.
   We will all be sharing the same mobility node installed at the University of Warsaw.

   To take part in this phase of the project you should follow the following steps:

   1. Read "Schema documentation (for MobilitySchema.xsd with send/getBusinessCard, Revision 494)"
   2. Get an XML file with one of the existing Business Cards
   3. Prepare Business Card for your own university (client - if you are a company)
   4. Get it approved by the local IRO
   5. Send an email to jmd@mimuw.edu.pl asking for login/password to the mobility client
      After the email I will add the entry with your university to the Registry and will send you login/password (one for all)
   6. Enter the client, choose 'sendBusinessCard' in the left menu, choose you university as a client (Client Section), choose 'uw.edu.pl' as a serwer (Server section), upload the prepared XML file (option 'Upload a file' on the right hand side in the Request section), validate it against schema (button 'Validate against schema' below the Request window), and invoke the method (button 'Invoke' next to 'Validate against schema')
   7. Enter the server, see your business card there, pass the address of the server to local IRO, enjoy :)
   8. Keep the posted information up-to-date, reloading the updated card when necessary
   9. If anything goes wrong, write me an email

   Plans for the next phase:

   1. Add 'download XML file' button on the server main page (list of organizations)
   2. Implement private accounts for local admins
   3. Replace UDDI Registry with the Gembus Registry (when stable version is available)

   Final remark:

   This is the final call. If we are not able to gather at least 5 cards until the end of July 2011 I would suggest that we freeze the Mobility project and wait for more suitable times to work on paperless mobility
